Disappointed With Nitish Kumar, Jd- U Mla Votes For Ahmed Patel In The Gujarat Polls.
Chhotubhai Vasava, party leader
of the Janata Dal said that they will now align with the Congress and Left
parties in the Gujarat Assembly elections. He said that they plan to align with
Congress and parties like the CPI (M) and CPI to defect BJP.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company said that
Vasava also plans to have a tie-up with Hardik Patel. The current Gujarat
Assembly completes its five year tenure in December and Janata Dal plans to go
up as the new house.
Disappointed with the Gujarat
elections, JD-U MLA Chotubhai Vasava said that he voted for Congress candidate
Ahmed Patel because he was opposed to his party President Nitish Kumar aligning
with BJP in Bihar. He added that he voted Patel as he believes him to be a very
good friend of his and this was his way to show his loyalty towards him. But at
the same time the statement is a dig against the BJP government accused of
looting the state for the past 20 years.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company says that when asked about the move of
Nitish Kumar joining hands with BJP in Bihar, Vasava said that he was certainly
not happy about it and had opposed the alignment with BJP but that did not
matter to Nitish according to him.
He was very disappointed with the
move and said that being a party member he expects that such decisions are
taken after the party meeting, which he cannot comment on happened or not
because he was not a part of it and wasn’t consulted even once about it. In
fact, he says that Nitish should have taken the step of convening a proper
meeting before passing on any decision but he seemed ignorant of the fact the
party members might oppose his action and that there words mattered.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company says that it is not just Vasava, even party
leader Sharad Yadav opposed the move by the Chief Minister and so did other members
from the party.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company said that Nitish Kumar had resigned as the
Chief Minister on the 26th of July and soon after that, in fact the
very next morning he aligned again with the BJP government and formed a new
coalition with the state government showing his support to the BJP government,
breaking the 20 month old Grand Alliance of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, the
Congress and the JD- U.
