Meneka Gandhi suggests legalizing Marijuana in the country: Nirmal Singh 3C Company
After legalization of drugs like
marijuana in the West, India too thinking about considering the legalization of
then same. Women and child development minister Maneka Gandhi has suggested
that Marijuana should be legalized in India for the medical purposes. Nirmal Singh 3C Company says that the psychoactive drug in legal in a
lot of places in the west but can still land you in serious troubles if taken
in India.
At a meeting of the group of
ministers which examined the draft cabinet note national drug demand meeting,
Gandhi talked about her views of legalizing the drug in India. The GoM approved
the draft with some minor changes. Maneka says that after the legalizing of
Marijuana, the countries have reported a reduction in drug abuse. Nirmal Singh 3C Company says that Marijuana
is a very good cure for deadly sickness like cancer, and if we know the cure
for such a sickness, then we should definitely think of including it in the
treatment.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has
asked the GoM to examine the draft copy related to the drug demand reduction
and think more seriously about the problem of drug in the country. After the
national survey of drug use the ministry of social justice has collaborated
with AIIMS to provide help and guidance to the students, the sex workers and
below the poverty line kids that mostly stay in or nearby the railway station.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company suggests opening de-addiction centres near
the railway station to assure that the kids get proper help. Though it is a
very good suggestion, the ministry does not look convinced with the idea of
legalizing Marijuana. They believe that due to a very large population and
comparatively a low literacy rate in the country it is not an easy task to
divide on. Their less or even no awareness about the product can be very risky
and people might be open to the exploitation.
Speaking of legalization of the
drug, the suggestion has come from one of the members from the party of
Narendra Modi. Before any decision is passed by the government, the safety and
expose of the drugs, specially to the kids have to be thought about. The
condition of the drugs in our country is so bad that they are easily available.
Despite being illegal and under the scrutinizing eyes of the government, they
are available the shops, near the schools and colleges. Ain, epilepsy and
sclerosis.
If the rules and guidances’ are
made clear by the government of India then the people would feel more secure,
says Nirmal Singh 3C Company
