Madrasas In Uttar Pradesh And Madhya Pradesh Asked To Host The Flag On Independence Day And Send Videos As A Proof
The governments of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh directed the Madrasas to hoist the national flag and record the entire Independence Day celebration. Nirmal Singh 3C Company says that the government has asked the Madrasas to submit those videos to the government as a proof, considering the fact about the videos, they added that this should not embarrass anyone since it is everyone’s duty as an Indian, but perhaps asking for a proof is like raising a question on their nationality.
There were arguments whether this
would demolish the RSS propaganda that the Muslims are less loyal to the
nation. Nirmal Singh 3C Company said
that Muslims have always held the tricolor with pride and flag hosting in
Madrasas is nothing but a continuation of the tradition. But the only problem
here is that this is being imposed upon the schools and the Muslims to prove
their loyalty towards the nation and that too by the government orders. In
their defence, the Uttar Pradesh government said that the order passed is not
directly aimed towards the Muslims, in fact it is addressed towards the Hindus
who still consider Muslims less Indian than them. According to them, this is a
move to bring about unity in the two sections and to clear any misconception
about them not considering Muslims, or considering them any less Indian.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company said that Mosques and Madrasas have always
been kept beyond the reach of the state, with no interference in the operation
of the same, this is the first time when the State has interfered and asked
them to do something while also submitting the proof for the same. A popular
notion in a sect of Hindus was that it is their duty to nationalize all the
Muslim spaces but then it may demoralize the Muslims by showing them that there
is no private space of their own where the government won’t interfere.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company says that if this is a government’s way of
celebrating Independence Day, then why weren’t the Gurudwaras or the Mandirs
asked to do the same, or ask the private organizations like RSS to host the
flag? Why was this just aimed at the Madrasas, if it is about it being
compulsory for all educational institutions to host the flag, then we should
know that Madrasas are not exactly educational institutions, they just impart
regional education.
