Chandigarh Stalking Case: Strict Action Against Accused Demanded By Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal
Nirmal Singh 3C Company appreciated
the fact that Delhi Chief Minister came
out and spoke against the Haryana BJP chief’s son, who was accused of gazing at
the IAS officer’s daughter. The
government demanded strict action against him, as they think if they fail to
exercise the justice, “people will lose faith in the system”. To
substantiate its stand Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) used Prime Minister Narendra
Modi’s famous slogan of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’. They further accused the Chandigarh Police of
closing the case against BJP leader Subhash Barala’s son.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company noticed that
AAP used its women leaders to attack the BJP. “Beti bachao, Beti padhao” (save the girl
child, educate the girl child) has been used by AAP’s Chandni Chowk MLA Alka
Lamba, saying “save the daughters of India from the sons of the BJP”.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company further
noticed that Barala’s son
Vikas (23) and his friend Ashish Kumar (27) were locked behind the bars for
stalking the woman. Later, both the accused were booked under bailable sections
of the IPC and the Motor Vehicles Act.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company made a note that Kejriwal
tweeted about the same: “Those stalking the victim should get harshest
punishment irrespective of how powerful they are. Otherwise, people will lose
faith in the law.”
Moreover, Delhi women wing
president Richa Pandey Mishra said that the victim was trolled to an extent on
social media that she felt “vilified”. She also condemned BJP leader Ramveer
Bhatti’s reported statement about the fact that “girls should not step out
during the night.” Although he later clarified that was not specifically
directed towards at the woman.
Nirmal Singh 3C Company would like
mention the entire incident with a quote of Richa Pandey Mishra, who
said: “The CCTV
footage is missing. The charges were watered down which led to the bail of the
accused. Who pressurised the police for doing so? The Chandigarh Police is
under the control of the Ministry of Home Affairs, just like Delhi.”
Basically, AAP is trying to bring
the much proclaimed policies functional in the public sphere.
