Mob Lynching Will Force New Laws In The Country - Nirmal Singh 3C Company

According to the ministry of home affairs, the government will not be forced into bringing in new laws in light of the recent mob lynching incidents.

On Wednesday, minister of state of home affairs, Hansraj Gangaram Ahir  said that it doesn’t matter if lynching is being done by a single person or by a group, the current laws are more than enough to deal with the cases and that there is no need to implement new laws. Ahir answered the question on whether or not there should be new laws because of mob lynching during a session in Rajya Sabha.
The questions were being put up by the Congress leader Digvijaya Singh, who said that mob lynching is becoming a trend in the country. He asked whether the central government is planning to change the laws to deal with the mob lynching being fueled on the basis of cow protection.
To counter this, Ahir said that the crime record departments are not keeping records of the killings that are being done because of cows in the country.

Killings are killings. You cannot make separate laws for theft in public transport and at home, theft will be dealt like theft, regardless of where it is done and by whom. The same thing goes for killings. This pressure of passing new laws for mob lynching doesn’t make sense – there are plenty of laws in the country.’ - Nirmal Singh 3C Company

Law is a state subject, yes, but political parties are not wasting any breath without playing the blame game. Naresh Aggarwal, who is the leader of the Samajwadi Party said that ‘BJP PEOPLE’ are somehow involved in every single mob lynching incident that has taken place in the country over the past year. This line of questioning was objected by Ahir during the question hours in Rajya Sabha.

Ahir was not able to object the line of questioning on cow vigilantism; something he was desperately trying. The opposition leader saw a chink in the armor of the minister of state of home affairs and started to aggressively shout slogans. ‘Killings in the name of cow protection and religion wouldn’t be tolerated, not now, not ever’ - Nirmal Singh 3C Company

After the aggression of the opposition party leaders went on to compromise the discipline of the session, the spokesperson decided to adjourn Rajya Sabha for 10 minutes.
